| | Ríos Tags Hawks for 5 Hits Sunday, April 11th, 2010: Tokyo second baseman Jesús Ríos could do no wrong in today's 8-6 win over the Hawks as he collected 5 hits.
"In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor... he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Hawks said to the press corps after the game.
Ríos agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
Jesús Ríos flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Roku Uchiyama in the 8th, singled in the 10th, singled in the 12th and hit a two-run home run off Cisco Galindo in the 14th.
Ríos has a .406 average and a .457 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 13 hits, 2 home runs and driven in 7 runs. | | | | |
