 | PL's Top Hitter for 2009 Named
Tuesday, October 6th, 2009: Manny Reynoso, Saint-Hyacinthe's outstanding first baseman, took home the Prospects League Outstanding Hitter Award for 2009.
This season he put up some strong stats, including a .327 batting average and a .486 on-base percentage. In 63 games he piled up 72 hits, 19 doubles, 3 triples, 11 home runs, 60 RBIs and scored 58 times.

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009: Albert Ritter of the Picton Zombies had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2009.
The 21-year-old right fielder put up a .294 average and a .427 on-base percentage, piling up 68 hits, 16 doubles, 3 triples, 14 home runs, 64 RBIs and 49 runs scored.

 | 2009 PL Outstanding Pitcher Award Announced
Monday, October 5th, 2009: The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2009 has been presented and the Prospects League winner is César González of Chesapeake.
"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said González. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Eagles star told reporters.
González excelled with an impressive 10-1 record in 13 starts. In 103.1 innings he yielded 69 hits and 34 walks, while striking out 92 and compiling a fine 2.79 ERA.
