Monday, April 12th, 2010: So far in his young career, Vanni Cedronelli has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Southern League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 20-year-old Sault Ste Marie Steelers right fielder hit at a torrid .522 clip as he collected 12 hits in 23 at-bats, 5 home runs, 12 RBIs and 7 runs scored.

Monday, April 12th, 2010: Emílio Gonzáles is respected by most Chesapeake Mariners fans for his no-frills style of play. The 24-year-old catcher went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Northern League Player of the Week honors.
He compiled a .409 average (9-22) with 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and 7 runs scored.

Sunday, April 11th, 2010: If you can't hit 'em, you can't beat 'em. That was the story today at the Bakersfield-Bordon clash at Ballpark of Bakersfield. Stags twirler Xiao-wei Tah gunned down 15 Nationals via strikeouts and beat them 4-2. In a superb performance he allowed 8 hits and issued 4 walks for the victory.
