 | Chiba-Kiev Deal: Baffi for Sundin
Saturday, October 31st, 2009: Officials for Chiba confirmed that they have traded 30-year-old first baseman Edoardo Baffi to the Kiev Rays. In return, the Marines will receive 32-year-old reliever Benjamin Sundin.
In 100 career games, Baffi has put up a .285 average, collected 15 doubles, 1 triple, and 9 home runs, driven in 44 runs, and scored 51 times.

 | Swallows, Blue Birds Confirm Deal
Saturday, October 31st, 2009: It won't turn either team into an instant contender or provide a huge franchise shakeup, but the Tokyo Swallows and Urumqi Blue Birds finalized a trade today. Tokyo will send 27-year-old first baseman Jorge Salinas to the Blue Birds, while the Swallows will receive 25-year-old reliever Valentín Anaya. "We think this is a deal that will help out both teams and we're glad to get it done," said the Swallows general manager). The trade is expected to be officially completed later today with the players to join their new ball clubs by the end of the day.
For his career Salinas has hit at a .267 clip. Among his lifetime numbers are 67 hits, 18 doubles, 1 triple, 9 home runs and 32 RBIs.

 | Buffaloes, Devil Rays Confirm Trade
Saturday, October 31st, 2009: The Buffaloes and the Devil Rays finalized a deal this afternoon. Orix has traded for 30-year-old reliever Finley Pepin and in return Linköping will receive 25-year-old second baseman Toshimichi Ueda.
In 112 career games Ueda is hitting at a .304 pace with 109 hits with 17 doubles, 2 triples and 4 homers while scoring 47 runs and racking up 41 RBIs. He logged 17 walks and owns a .339 on-base percentage.
